About SidelineAssistant

Infrastructure that fits your game.

Soccer recruiting still runs on PDFs, spreadsheets, and group texts. We built the platform that should have existed already.

Our story

I just had to take the long way to find it.

From Luke Madden, Co-Founder

I succeeded at Middlebury immediately because Middlebury was the right fit. I just had to take the long way to find it.

I was recruited out of high school to play Division I soccer at the University of New Hampshire, a top-fifteen program that won the America East twice and reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in two of my three years there. After three seasons, I transferred to Middlebury College, a NESCAC Division III program competing at the highest level of that division. We made the Final Four, and I was named NESCAC Player of the Year, New England Soccer Journal Player of the Year, a two-time All-American, and an Academic All-American.

American college soccer recruiting is currently fragmented, and the families who navigate it best are usually the ones who can afford to. We built SidelineAssistant to disrupt that model: one platform connecting every program, every camp, and every recruit, so the right fit gets found the first time.

Why now

Talent has scale. Recruiting has fragmentation.

College athletics is the largest pipeline of talent in the country — and the least connected outside of the spotlight programs. The infrastructure to find a fit hasn't kept up with the size of the talent pool.

2,000+
Programs
Every division, every program
100+
Conferences
D1 through NAIA, all indexed
500K+
Recruits / class
Sending tape, spreadsheets, emails

The biggest names get the infrastructure. Everyone else gets three hundred and forty athletics microsites and a group chat.

We're building the missing layer — a shared, structured platform where every college can publish their camps, every club can surface their graduating players, every showcase can index who's attending, and every player can have a single profile that moves with them through recruitment.
